The first day, the following demos were presented and discussed: Environmental Monitoring Demo, Smart Water Distribution Network Demo, Intelligent Building Demo and Robotics Demo.
During the second day, some important results obtained by the integrated research activities among the project Consortium were presented and analysed. We can cite mainly the " Ensemble Approach to Estimate the Fault-Time Instant", the "Online Class Imbalance Learning for Fault Diagnosis", the "Distributed detection and isolation of multiple sensor faults
in interconnected nonlinear systems" and "On the control of Water Distribution Networks".

Barcelona 2nd Project Review Meeting
21-22 March 2013

The i-Sense 2nd Review Meeting held in Barcellona on the 21st and 22nd of March 2013 was partly to the presentation of the project results and activities to the EU reviewers. Moreover the second part of the meeting was useful for sharing the next steps of the project research vision on both theoretical aspects and applied ones. In particular the following applications were considered : Environmental monitoring, Water distribution network control, Intelligent buildings and Robotic applications.

Milan Project Meeting
1-2 October 2012

The i-Sense 6th Meeting held in STMicroelectonics headquarters in Agrate Brianza (Italy) included advances in research results presentations, management committee meetings, future work planning and a visit to the fabrication lab and the demo room of STMicroelectonics. Actually, an update of the last research results were presented such as a cognitive approach for fault diagnosis systems in sensor networks and a just-in-time approach for a fault diagnosis framework for hybrid systems. Furthermore, a new version of water distribution benchmark simulator was discussed and several learning techniques and approaches were presented. Finally, the i-Sense robotic ftc/fdi case study was presented and the new i-Sense platform status and integration plans were discussed.

Birmingham Project Meeting
24-25 May 2012

During the spring project meeting in Birmingham, (UK) at Birmingham University on 24-25 May 2012, the consortium team shared and discussed the research results and brainstormed the Development and the Integration of the i-sense platform.

During the sessions, on the one hand, the Fault Detection and Diagnosis topics were faced by the presentation of a concept-based approach to fault detection and identification, a flexible framework for detecting and identifying changes in multisensor networks and explored the issue of distributed sensor fault diagnosis. Moreover, the discussants presented learning aspects by analysing a “learning from models” cognitive fault diagnosis system, a learning in the model space for fault diagnosis and the use of unreliable data for creating more reliable online learners.

On the other hand, the discussed topics regarding the Fault Tolerant Control were actually related to the use of a passive learning based approach, the fault detection and isolation in intelligent buildings and the presentation of the results on sensor data validation/reconstruction in isense benchmarks.

Regarding the i-Sense platform the discussants presented the i-Sense Robotic Platforms and the newly developed Fault-Emulator Platform.
